Dr. June Meymand & a Tradition of Healing

The Meymand Family Doctors - Twins (L) Behrooze & Louise, June, Bahram

When asked "Why did you become a doctor?" Dr. June Meymand replies, "Because I love helping people, I love healing people." It must be 'in the genes' because her children say the same thing.

This family of healers truly began in the 1950's with Junes' mother who was a nurse. She was preparing fresh vegetable juice for her children and patients when such a thing was virtually unheard of. Then, when June was in the travel industry she was assigned the task of escorting travel agents to the Orient. This is where the seed that was planted by her mother began to grow. June received most of her education and training in the United States, China and Japan.

She completed her doctoral education at Parker College of Chiropractic, and is licensed by the Texas Board of Chiropractic Examiners. Then, Dr. June studied an additional three years to earn her Diplomate of the College of Clinical Nutrition concentrating on cancer. As a doctor who respects and supports holistic, complementary medical therapies, she pursued training in the ancient art of acupuncture, and holds the distinction as a Fellow of the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture. In addition, June is a classical homeopath.

Dr. June continues studying and researching and has attained the position of Clinical Research Scientist for the United States Center For Musculoskeletal Research, is certified in Manipulation Under Anesthetic (MUA), Functional Endocrinology, and is currently researching and practicing with a team from Europe in Micro-Assay Chemotherapy Sensitivity Testing. Dr. June Meymand is well respected in the allopathic and alternative medicine paradigms. Her goal is to bring together whomever and whatever is necessary to help her patients get on with their lives as quickly and economically as possible.
